Uno dei paesi più belli sul tratto Siena-Grosseto è Batignano. Tipicamente toscano, situato su un colle, visibile da lontano. E' un buon punto di uscita per le visite poiché è solo a 5 km dalla superstrada. Dopo Grossteo sono circa 9 km, al mare circa 20. Batignano era autonomo fino al 1783. C'era un castello, le mura intorno all'intero paese e due torri, di cui una ancora esistente. Nel 1999 fu trasformata in una casa di vacanze. Da una scala esterna si arriva prima ad una terrazza panoramica con una vista incantevole, in parte sul paesaggio, in parte sul paese medievale. Qui ci sono mobili da giardino cosicché potete godere la vista affascinante. Da qui si va in una grande e comoda sala. C'è un camino rotondo e tutto è ristrutturato in modo originale. Dalla sala, a sinistra, si arriva ad un bagno con la doccia. Piccolo perché questo posto era prima una sorta di passaggio rotondo e i bagni nelle torri nel 18. secolo non erano ancora la norma. A destra si va attraverso una scala nella camera con letto matrimoniale e singolo. Ci sono ancora il soffitto in legno e il pavimento in pietra originali e naturalmente anche un panorama dal punto di vista degli uccelli. Comunque nella sala c'è un divano letto (1,20 m) su cui può dormire un'altra persona o due bambini.

 One of the most beautiful places on the way between Siena and Grosseto is Batignano. Typically of Tuscany, it's situated on a hill and it's visible by far. It's a good point for visiting it because it's only 5 km far from the highway. Passed Grosseto, it's only 9 km far from it and to the sea there are 20 km. Batignano was autonomous till 1783. There was a castle, the walls around the entire city and two towers, one of which still exists. In 1999 was changed into a holiday house. By external stairs you arrive at first to a panoramic terrace with a delightful view, in part on the landscape and in part on the medieval place. Here there is garden furniture so you can enjoy the enchanting view. From here you go in a wide and comfortable hall. There is a round fireplace and everything is restructured in an original way. From the hall, on the left side, you arrive to a bathroom with a shower. It's small because before this place was a certain round passage and the bathrooms in the eighteenth century weren't as a rule. From the right side you go through stairs in the bedroom with a double bed and another single one. There are still the ceiling wood made and the original stoned pavements and, of course, also a large variety of birds. However in the hall there is a bed settee (1.20 m) for another person or for two children.

 Eines der schönsten Dörfchen auf der Strecke Siena - Grosseto ist Batignano. Typisch toskanisch, auf einem Hügel gelegen, weithin sichtbar. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen, da es nur ca. 5 km von der Superstrada entfernt liegt. Nach Grosseto sind es 9 km, zum Meer ca. 20 km. Batignano war bis 1783 autonom. Es gab ein Schloss, eine Befestigungsmauer um den ganzen Ort und zwei Türme, wovon einer noch steht. 1999 wurde er in ein romantisches Feriendomizil umgebaut. Über eine Außentreppe kommt man zuerst auf eine Aussichtsterrasse mit einem zauberhaften Blick, teils auf die Landschaft, teils über den kleinen mittelalterlichen Ort. Hier stehen Gartenmöbel für Sie bereit, damit Sie die faszinierende Aussicht auch richtig genießen können. Von hier geht es in einen großen, gemütlichen Wohnraum. Über eine Wand zieht sich ein Gewölbebogen, darunter ein Rundkamin, alles originalgetreu renoviert. Vom Wohnraum kommt man links in ein kleines Duschbad. Klein deshalb, weil dieser Platz früher nur eine Art Rundgang war, denn Bäder sind im 18. Jahrhundert in Türmen noch nicht die "Norm" gewesen. Rechts geht es über eine Treppe weiter in das Schlafzimmer mit Ehe- und Einzelbett. Es hat noch die Original - Holzbalkendecken, Ziegelfußböden und natürlich auch wieder einen Blick aus der Vogelperspektive. Übrigens, im Wohnraum ist noch eine Bettcouch (1,20 m), auf der eine weitere Person oder zwei Kinder schlafen können.
